"Barnsley defender Stephen Foster has been ruled out of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final clash with Championship rivals Cardiff. The defender has been fundamental in the Tykes road to Wembley scoring the equaliser in the fifth round 2-1 victory at Liverpool, but has suffered a foot injury ahead of the game. Boss Simon Davey told the club's official website: "Stephen has a badly bruised foot. It it very unfortunate for him but he will not be fit in time for Sunday."
Foster only joined the Tykes on a free transfer from Burnley but has been virtually ever-present this season. As well as the goal against Liverpool, he also netted the equaliser in the 2-1 win over Blackpool in the third round."
