1. Juventus's Czech winger Pavel Nedved has been ruled out of the big game with Milan on Saturday with a head injury. Nedved suffered a clash of heads in last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Palermo and despite returning to full training he will not be risked because he is not yet heading the ball.
2. Pillipp Lahm will stay with Bayern Munich until at least 2009 according to the Bundesliga giants' chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The Germany international is currently negotiating a new deal with Bayern but should talks break down, Rummenigge has already ruled out the possibility of the full-back leaving the Allianz Arena before his contract expires at the end of next season.
3. Argentine forward Lionel Messi has returned to the Barcelona squad ahead of their trip south to face struggling Recreativo Huelva on Saturday. The 20-year-old tore a muscle in his left thigh at the beginning of March during the 1-0 Champions League win over Celtic at the Nou Camp. His return will be a boost to Frank Rijkaard's side, who are third in the standings, as they seek to close the seven-point gap on leaders Real Madrid, with seven games left. Barca have only won once in their last six outings.
